Myanmar – A beautiful country with beautiful people

Last week I had the chance to explore Myanmar. I flew to the country not with a lot of expectations, I just wanted to see all by myself. On the first day we explored the city Mandalay, with a population of 1 Million. The city by itself is nice, but nothing outrageous, but the most impressive wasn’t the city but the people. Myanmar is not yet used to the mass tourism as other countries and in every situation you get a warm feeling by talking to people. You really believe that these people are not trying to scam you, they just want to talk to you or even help you. We got free rides with the car or even things for free in a shop. Tourists are still something special in this country and nobody has bad feelings for them.
But as we went further to our next destination, we quickly saw that not only tthe people were nice but that also the country is beautiful. In the temple-city Bagan you get sunrises and sunsets like nowhere else, and when you look at the balloons rising in the early morning you can’t help by getting goosebumps all over your body. I rarely see something that beautiful and it was an experience I wouldn’t miss.
Introduction and main idea of the blog
Who am I and what is the purpose?
My name is Klemens von Rosen, I’m 20 years old and I am currently in Bangkok for a semester abroad. Many of my friends already asked me, how it is to live and travel in South-East-Asia. In order to answer these questions I got the idea to start a blog about my experiences in this region.
From time to time there are some free spots during the semester, so we have time to explore other places and countries here. In the upcoming posts I want to give you an insight about this amazing places I discovered around here and maybe give you a idea for your next holiday.
I keep you in the loop!
Klemens
