My first visit at Tang Tao Thom
September 6, 2017

First time I visited Tang Tao Thom I've been there with 3 Friends. We just went down the street looking for a place to eat. As we came by this shop we thought it looked quite good and we gave it a try. We were happy to see that the serving man spoke English quite well and that he explained us in a very good way how we have to cook the soup. We have been to this kind of restaurant before but wasn't told how to do it rather than they laughed about the way we ate. Due to this experience we were very happy and cooked two different type of soupes. One with some kind of coconut flavor and the other one just regular clear soup.
I personally love to eat soup so I fell in love with this restaurant and were happy that the man was so nice to us! We did'nt know what the name of this restaurant is so since then we just call it "Suppenladen", which is German and means "soup shop".
To sum up, it was a very great first experience with Tang Tao Thom and I was sure to visit this place again!
Because I know Jessica likes to try out some new food I asked her if she wants to go there with me and she said yes

A few days ago Lamice told me about a small however very fine Thai restaurant in the Banthat Thong Road. There would be Hotpot soups in different variations. I looked at her for the moment confused, because I did not know what "Hotpot" is. I did not know it from Germany. She explained to me that one soup pot in front of us on the table and then you can choose the ingredients with the help of the menu card and cook the soup on your own at the table. I was inspired and wanted absolutely once there.
Today Lamice, her cousin Lena and I made an excursion to Ayutthaya. There we had a look at the ruins of Wat Maha That or Wrat Phra Sri Sanphet. After the long day and the strenuous train journey, we had a hunger like a bear. We decided to eat a soup at Tang Tao Thom. It was a small and cute restaurant in those already some Thai's sat. Lamice explained to me and Lena which soups it gives and which vegetables we could take. I saw for the first time that we can divide the pot also into two halves and can provide therefore two different soups. We ordered the Wakame Japanese and the Tom-Kha soup with different vegetable kinds. The glass noodles might not be absent of course. I was enthusiastically from the idea, the soups, the really sharp sauces, the nice employees and from Thailand. After we had paid it was sure for us - We come again, definitively!-
